Shutterfly

One week from today is Mother's Day. A single day out of the year that is dedicated to all of us women who dare to wear the badge of Motherhood, distinguishing us from those who have yet to experience the Ring of Fire. A day that celebrates us a women and all the work that is put into providing our children with everything they need to grow into amazing individuals. Or just the simple satisfaction of knowing we didn't strangle our offspring today. Whatever it is you feel, Mother's day is a wonderful day to experience both as the child and as the mother.

Shutterfly is one of my favorite photo gift sites. I have used Shutterfly numerous times over the last 2.5 years of my journey into motherhood. I have had the privilege of providing Personalized Photo books and Personalized gifts for MOM to my own mother, all bearing the most adorable pictures of Baby DIVA...her only grandchild. (well for at least another week or so :)) I have never been disappointed with the caliber of work shutterfly does and the product has always arrived in perfect condition and is a true treasure and a gem for the recipient.

This year, as Mother's Day rapidly approaches, I have several other reasons to hit up shutterfly. First, I am in the process of picking wonderful Thank you Cards with the perfect look, for Critter2 to send out to all those welcoming her into the world with precious gifts. H4L and I are also particularly interested in Critter2's birth announcements. These little beauties will be revealing the name of Critter2 to many of our friends and family. We know we can count on shutterfly to provide us with the perfect quality in this product that will meet our high expectations.

Now you can imagine my excitement when I discovered that Shutterfly would offer me 50 free photo cards just to share this information with my readers. I was tickled pink. I already love this company so much and now I get to receive an awesome product for just reminding my readers how much I like this company. What can be better than that? And on top of that, Are you a blogger? If so, Click HERE for your own opportunity to enjoy the benefits of Shutterfly! You will not be disappointed.

What do you want?

I saw this question asked on mamapedia the other day and it really got me thinking.

I would do anything for just a day all alone. No cleaning, no cooking, no chasing tots, no husband, no coupons, no nothing. Just 24 hours of time that I could do whatever I please with. My chances of that happening are pretty slim, and with a new baby possibly arriving early in May, the chances are super slim. But that doesn't take away from dream, right? Oh a massage would be nice too, but I don't want to get to greedy.

Well in thinking about this I begin to wonder, does this make me selfish? Does wanting a day completely alone make me a bad person? Is it wrong for me to deprive my own mom of being with her adult daughter and granddaughter because this momma wants a break? What do you think? How do you handle the multiple generations of motherhood on this day of celebration of being a mom?

H-E-B Giveaway for Mom's Day!!!!

I know the majority of you out there reading this blog are moms. We Rock. But WE are also daughters. And I think it is safe to say that we might lose sight every now again of this feat. So with that in mind I have been trying to come up with something fabulous for my mom this year for mothers day. And with that thought process, I was stumped.

My mother is not a trinket kind of gal; not a jewelry loving chick, hates smelly stuff of any kind, flowers make her sneeze and honestly what do I get for a woman who has it all, I mean she has ME and Baby DIVA right? She likes socks. Ummm okay not loving that idea. Then something tickled my fancy! FOOD!

Mother's Day is near

Mother's Day is near!

Fantasy:

I am alone from when my eyes open until when my eyes close at night. I have full control over what I want to do and when i want to do it and how i do it for at least a full 12-15 hours (notice i don't ask for too much here). And that is all.

Reality:

At around 530am screeches from Baby DIVA will force open my tired eyes. H4L will pretend to be sleeping so deep that he has no conscious idea that Baby DIVA is awake. Then I will head to the kitchen with Baby DIVA in tow and begin to get her breakfast ready and possibly my own. Might go ahead and get some laundry sorted, plan out the weekly grocery trip and meal plans. What idiots decided to put Mother's Day on a Sunday? The day that is most commonly utilized by Moms to prepare the family for the upcoming week? DUH? I guess it really is "Mother's Day", Mother's Day of work that is!

So that about you? How would like to spend your Mother's Day?
