Hubbs-to-be needs a name

It has just occurred to this Pink Haired Momma, that in a mere 10 days, Hubbs-to-be will not be Hubbs-to-be anymore. Nope! That dude is locked in to this Pink Haired Momma for life or longer, BY LAW! SHHHHH Don't tell him. He make run away quivering with fright wondering what the heck has he got himself into...marrying this crazy Pink Haired Momma! Well with the commencement of our vows, I think it only necessary that my darling Hubbs-to-be get a new name in the blogosphere. What do you think?

I chatted it up with hubbs-to-be and we came up with a few names that could possibly replace the hubbs-to-be name status. Now, I am at a loss, and do not know which to chose. So I am leaving it to you, my fabulous blogosphere Friends. I would like you to chose what name you would like to see Hubbs-to-be taken on after our fabulous nuptials in 10 days!!
A little about the names:
1. Obvious
2. He is a photographer by passion
3. Personal pet name
So please my friends, have a vote and help me re-name Hubbs-to-be! I will announce the new name in my first post as a married woman, in less than 2 weeks!

Did we plant that?

Hubbs-to-be and myself love to eat healthy. Well okay we just love to EAT, but we do try and eat healthy but we fail sometimes. We attempted this year to grow our own vegetables, some made it, some did not. Despite our homegrown veggies not exactly producing as we expected, we still hit up the farmers market and have been drying seeds to start our new garden for next year.

One homegrown that we would love to grow but are not exactly sure how to grow, at least the right kind, is mushrooms. We have talked about learning but have decided not to attempt to grow this edible wonder any time soon.

Well that was before we went out for some backyard tidy time and relaxation. Hubbs-to-be summoned me to the backyard to show me the trophy he found as he began the horrid task of grass cutting in the Houston heat. This is what we discovered growing all by its self in our lovely garden!

Week Updates

My goodness! This silly H. Pylori has put me behind on my updates this week. Let me share a few big ones.

Happy Birthday today to my Brother who turns the big 28!! I hope his day is super fabulous! And HAHA Baby brother you are only 2 years away from 30 now!

Baby DIVA had her 9 month doctors visit on Tuesday morning. She weighed in at 19 pounds 3 ounces and is 29 1/3 inches long. Yeppers she is tall. Doctor K was very impressed with her little talents and accomplishments: been off the bottle since 6 months, feeds herself, trying desperately to walk, talking. Yep we were a regular traveling show in the pediatrician office. Oh and little miss Baby DIVA cried not one bit as she got her shot or when she had her little toed pricked for bloodwork (which we now know she is not anemic). Overall she is growing fabulous. Doctor k is very happy. She says you would never know Baby DIVA was a preemie!! YAY!!!
Chilling at Dr. K's office waiting to be seen!

And we introduced MEAT to Baby DIVA. She was not impressed as you can see below as she scowls at her bowl of pureed chicken and vegetables.

So even though I was a sickly one for Hubbs-to-be's B-day, we still had a great night. We had dinner (which i threw up, but it still tasted great) followed by the sitter arrival and then we went and saw the movie District 9. I must say I really enjoyed the movie. Or was it just the alone time with Hubbs-to-be? No, really the movie was great.

Happy Birthday to you!

So today my Hubbs-to-be turns 33. In celebration we have a sitter tonight! WAHOOO!!! We are going to dine on Two for Tuesday wings, one of our favorite treats back when we were just a dating couple. And follow that lovely baby free dinner with a movie of Hubbs-to-be's choosing.

Simple. Fun. Fabulous. No baby. Spectacular!!

Weekend Re-Cap

What a weekend we had! Busy Busy Busy!! And lots of happenings from Birthday parties to two new teeth from Baby DIVA!!!!

Here is our yard, ready for Birthday party guests to enjoy! Notice the freshly mowed grass from Hubbs-to-be's 6:30am chore list! Happy Birthday Hun!

Lets see where do I start? Well Hubbs-to-be will be celebrating his 33rd year of life tomorrow (8-25-09), so on Saturday we hosted a fabulous birthday rendezvous at our casa. At one point Hubbs-to-be mentioned that although he enjoys being surrounded by all those friends and family who love him so dear, that awaking on Saturday morning at 6:30am to complete a list of chores is just not his idea of a cool birthday! I chuckled. But felt no real sympathy, because as a Pink Haired Momma that is a daily occurrence, birthday or not. But man we really did book it getting ready for this little soiree.

And Yes I do make goofy little signs for all the food, I think it is cool and informative! And yes Baby DIVA is in the background there, Directing!

We cooked a variety of burgers, that were all health friendly. We had tuna steak wrapped in applewood bacon, Italian turkey burgers, and garlic seasoned portabella mushroom burgers. All served with yummy white and sweet potato fries. Our good friends, Love to Shop Mom and her hubbs, brought over some totally fabulous pork ribs, that seriously melted right off the bone and into my mouth. Best ribs EVER!!And of course, Pink Haired Momma baked up some snazzy cupcakes. For Hubbs-to-be's birthday bash I provided some deliciously tasty fabulous ROCKY ROAD cupcakes. Yum Yum!
Hello Heaven in a cupcake wrapper. I must say I enjoyed these quite well. Hubbs-to-be did too. Glad since technically they were for him! LOL
Late Saturday afternoon, Baby DIVA gave me one of her famous beautiful huge smiles and what did I see???? But two new toothies!!! YAY!!! Now we have two on the bottom, and on the top we have, One Fang and her TWO FRONT TEETH! Totally explains her spazz out evil behavior last week when all she wanted to do was scream and all I wanted to do was make myself bald. She just looks absolutely adorable with her little white nubbs coming through those pink gums! AWWWWW. My baby is growing so fast! So fast indeed that Baby DIVA will be 9 months old tomorrow (8-25-09). Wow. Amazing. Takes my breath away.
So that about wrapped it up. Hosting a party for 20 people and Two new teeth, man I am pooped! Now we have a week that includes 4 birthday's, a reunion and a property tax hearing. Oh and of course we also have Baby DIVA's 9 month celebration and Doctor visit! Hope you had a fabulous weekend as well. Please tell me about it!!!!

After 8 1/2 months we did it!!!

What you ask did we do?

Pink Haired Momma and Hubbs-to-be went out on a DATE this weekend WITHOUT Baby DIVA!! It was fabulous! Yes we were nervous, but after 8 1/2 months we were also VERY ready to get the heck outta there! It was almost like we were going on our first date to prom. We even had the babysitter take our "Prom" like picture as we ran out the door.

See!
How cheesy!
Pink Haired Momma and Hubbs-to-be have a night on the town!

So what did we do? Well we headed over to a bar we used to frequent pre Baby DIVA. A good friend of ours was there and it just so happened his lovely girlfriend was singing at the bar. Here we are enjoying adult beverages with our good friend Z-man!

Photobucket

We didnt stay out late like we used to back in the day, But boy we had a wonderful time. It was a well deserved break!

It was quite dark at the location of Pink Haired Momma's first night out in 8 1/2 months, but I did try and catch some video of our friend, Z-man's Gal singing. Well let me just remind you that this Pink Haired Momma has not had an adult beverage in well over 18 months, so the video I was seeing must have been an illusion because upon download all I got is just a black screen with audio! Nice! One adult beverage and this Pink Haired Momma lost her sight! LOL! So Z-man's gal does have a wonderfully fabulous voice, so I am including the short little solid black video of her on stage. Just close your eyes and listen and pretend Pink Haired Momma didn't screw up this recording!!!

My Dress My Dress My Dress!!!

My WEDDING DRESS is HERE!!! It is at my house. In my closet hanging there staring at me and calling me over and over "Pink Haired Momma! Pink Haired Momma", to come and play dress up with it! It is just patiently waiting for this Pink Haired Momma to slip it on so it can strut its stuff down the aisle to marry Hubbs to be in Las Vegas!!.....

Wanna see my DRESS???

HAHAHA!!! You just thought you were gonna get a sneak peek of me in it huh?

Nope not a chance. Hubbs-to-be reads my blog daily. He can see my dress and he can see me, but he CAN NOT see me in it until that magical moment!! Hey so what do you think of my Hot pink furry feather shoes?? Matches my head!!

I am so happy with my dress and so super excited!!!

I am just tickled PINK!!! My DRESS came from my Fabulous Designer yesterday and I flung open the box and found fabulous prize inside. I am on cloud 9! I am so happy with my dress. I can not wait to wear it! Thank you so much Batty from Azrael's Accomplice Designs. You did a wonderful job and I could not be happier! I can not wait to marry my handsome and loving Hubbs-to-be, wearing this fabulous dress! I may never take it off. HAHA just kidding!

So on top of my fabulous dress arriving yesterday for me to gloat about, my fun and fabulous wedding invitations designed by Hubbs-to-be also arrived! I swear I thought it was Christmas. The doorbell kept ringing all day and each time resulted in another cool box for me to open full of prizes!! Wahooo!!

I am so proud of him! He did a Fabulous job!!

So it is official! I AM getting married in 3 MONTHS! I still have so much to do. Stay tuned to see what unfolds over the next few months as we inch closer to our Masquerade Ball wedding on Halloween in Las Vegas followed by a Hometown reception the following weekend! We are so fabulous we get 2 parties for our wedding! HAHAHA

Organization Rocks!!

So this weekend Hubbs-to-be and I completely baby proofed the entire house for Baby DIVA. I mean now that she is 8 months old and thinks she can run at full force through the house, we couldn't risk any Uh-ohs! This baby proofing process resulted in two really exciting things.
One The playroom is now set up and Baby DIVA can play! play! play! ALL day long in a safe haven!! Woohooo!!! Now let me also say that even with ALL the toys our spoiled little baby DIVA has in her newly set up playroom, she chose to play with the tiny string sticking out from the carpet in her doorway under neath the baby gate. NICE. Glad you like all momma and dadda's hard work!!!

Second we cleaned our office! Hallelujah!! You can see the floors and I totally forgot we had windows in that room!! We picked up some fabulous organizer containers and took control back of our world!! All of my crafting materials are in order! My cookbooks and cupcake making utensils are organized! Hubbs-to-be has all his computer graphics and photography supplies in order! We can both enjoy our hobbies again! I am sooooo happy and excited! Now if I want to do a craft or make a cupcake I can go right to the area it is stored and Voila all my supplies are there! Not hanging out in the garage, kitchen or sometimes even the bathroom! FABULOUS!!! Being organized just makes life so much better!
Oh I almost forgot!!! We also ordered our WEDDING Invitations!!! Woohoo! And since Hubbs-to-be is the designer ( i love marrying a graphic dude), we spent 80 bucks for 250 invites! Hot diggity dog!!! They should be in here in 7 days! FABULOUS!!!!

Today was my hubbs-to-be's first ever Father's Day! We had a wonderful day that started off with a giggly Baby DIVA loving on her daddy to awaken him from his overnight slumber. Followed by the gift spectacular and breakfast. Then we were off to visit the family of Father's!
I sure hope my Hubbs-to-be enjoyed this wonderful Father's Day with his Pink Haired Momma and Baby DIVA. I look forward to many many more!! Here are just a couple of pics from today.

Motorcycle diet

Hubbs-to-be informed me that he is officially on a diet.

I thought Great! This is wonderful! I have been trying for some time now to convert our lifestyle to not only a greener more frugal way of life (Boas and Tiaras and Pink Diamonds are included in this new lifestyle of course), but I have also been striving to make our lives healthier. We are learning how to grow our own fresh fruits and vegetables (yes the carrots were not much success this year, but Hey I grew a bite of edible food from a seed. Baby Steps!). We recycle more. We compost. I work like a mad woman to save money in all areas of our life from groceries and coupons to making everything ourselves. It is a new lifestyle but a welcomed and enjoyable one.

So when Hubbs-to-be enlightened me to his new commitments I was incredibly thrilled. He then proceeded to tell me the dirty details and the rules and regulations of his diet plan.

Here they are:
Hubbs-to-be loses 40 pounds he buys a Motorcycle.

Seriously?!?!
Gotta love a man's mind!
Here is my Pink Haired Momma thoughts on this new diet reward!
Pink Momma could ride second fiddle in this sidecar!!

Baby DIVA digs this one!
Oh Hell Pink Haired Momma will drop 40 and get one too!!!
