Tuesday Tidbit

This was my first year at having a a semi garden growing in my yard. I bought a bunch of seeds and planted those little babies in some dirt, watered them and gave them lots of love. They begin to grow and produce leaves and then some edible foods (well maybe small edible foods if you recall my tiny baby DIVA sized carrots). Well I have mastered herb growing by leaps and bounds. Love my Rosemary, Cilantro and mint herbs. the smells are fabulous and Herbs are incredibly easy.

If you are considering growing some herbs I have an idea for you that might be worth looking into. Although I have mastered the art of Herb growing by just planting those little babies directly in the ground, this idea got me really excited because it will enable year round herb growth. Check it out!!

Take that old shoe holder you don't use anymore and transition it into a fabulous herb growing container!! Easy to maintain! Easy to move. Easy to gather and cook with! I thought this was so awesome. And another really cool feature is it is a fabulous way to recycle and item you may be looking to throw away. Fabulous!!!

  2. Rikki! I wouldnt have thought of that either but man it is such a great idea! I love it! I think it is awesome for those folks that are moving from apt to house. I know I had one of those in my apt and gave it away when moving into my house. How cool would it have been to recycle it and grow some herbs!!!
